NAJIB’s statement is libellous
We have studied the news reports pertaining to the statements by Deputy Prime Minister Najib Razak who was quoted as describing the People’s Justice Party Treasurer-General, Tan Sri Dato’ Abdul Khalid Ibrahim a liar during the Ijok by-election.
Najib was reported to have said that Tan Sri Dato Abdul Khalid had nothing to do with the return of Guthrie from London back to Malaysia, and that his late father, the former Prime Minister Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, was responsible instead.
The deputy Prime Minister was first reported to have said this on 22nd April 2007 and once again on 23rd April 2007.
It is clear that the deputy Prime Minister’s statement is untruthful, libellous and detrimental to the good name of our office-bearer, who is also the party’s candidate for the by-election in Ijok.
Thus,we will be recommending legal action against Najib Razak.
